What They Said

Mardan Mamat (Sin) – Third Round 68 (-3), Total 201 (-12)

You always feel good when you lead in the tournament. I’m fortunate to birdie the last hole from the rough (10 feet). It was a good day and I hope to shoot under-par on the last day.

The weather is hot here. I lost my concentration on the back nine because of the heat. You got to know how to handle it. I ate and drank a lot of water to regain my focus. I don’t think I will practice. I will take a rest. It has been a long day and I was exhausted in the last three holes.

I’m not too far from the trophy. We have one more day to go and I’m in good position. Hopefully I can continue with the way I’m playing.

I’ve won three tournaments when I led from the first day. I feel I’m getting closer to another win but I will not take whatever lead I have for granted. I have an advantage but I must focus and make sure I do what I’m supposed to do.

Khalin Joshi of India

When you come to a tournament and see your photo on the boards, it makes you feel well known. That gave me a bit of confidence.

Khalin Joshi (Ind) – Third Round 65 (-6), Total 204 (-9)

I’m excited because I’m playing really well. I’ve put myself in position to win an Asian Tour title before but didn’t close. I’m playing well and I hopes my putter holds up.

I was in contention in Jakarta earlier this year and at the SAIL Open in 2012. I played badly in the last rounds but I’m playing well now. I won my second title on the Indian tour this year so my game feels good.

That eagle came after two bogeys so that really helped me. But I missed a short birdie and par putt in the next two holes. My putting hasn’t been great so I need a good putting day tomorrow.

I’m really excited because I’ve been waiting for this moment. Hopefully I get the better out of everybody else.

Eagle details on hole 14: Second shot 5 iron. 205 yards to the edge of the green where he chipped in from 25 yards.

Soomin Lee of korea

Lee Soomin (Kor) – Third Round 65 (-6), Total 205 (-8)

I putted very well and I’m happy with where I am now. I have been playing good golf. I finished second in Korea last week so my game is good. I really want to win so I hope that I can make it this week. I hit my second shot with a 4 iron from 193 metres and it landed close to the hole (eagle on the 14th hole).

Janne Kaske (Fin) – Third Round 71 (E), Total 206 (-7)

It was an adventure today. Everything happened. I had to make a couple of good saves because I got into trouble a few times from the tees. I made a good up-and-down par save from the water on the ninth hole. That was the highlight of the round. I lipped out for birdie on the last hole. It would have been nice if I had sank that.

I still have a chance. I’m putting well and hitting my wedges well. I should be able to make birdies if I can keep the ball on the fairway.
